What are the benefits of using Dr.G Green Mild Up Sun+?
Mineral sunscreen – This sunscreen is 100% mineral sunscreen. A mineral sunscreen provides immediate protection by forming a physical barrier between your skin and harmful UV rays. As compared to chemical sunscreens, it usually takes at least 15 minutes for it to penetrate and before you can confidently go outside.
Sensitive friendly sunscreen – Mineral sunscreen sits on top of your skin, minimizing the risk of skin irritation such as redness, itchiness, or rashes. Zinc oxide is a natural ingredient and the only UV filter found in this non-irritating sunscreen. Furthermore, there’s no fragrance or alcohol content found in this sunscreen, so sensitive skin can use worry-free.
Comfortable on skin – This sunscreen has a soft, cream-like formula that feels incredibly comfortable on the skin. It’s creamy enough to hydrate dry skin but also has a lightweight texture without greasiness or shine that oily skin would certainly enjoy.
No white cast – One downside mineral sunscreen is known for is the white cast. Thankfully, Dr. G renewed the formula and launched this sunscreen (earlier this year) which no longer leaves white residue behind.
Broad-spectrum sunscreen – Dr. G Mild up Sun cream is a broad-spectrum sunscreen. Meaning, it can protect skin from both UVA and UVB rays. SPF 50+ means it can block more than 98% of UVB rays. It has a PA+++ which means extremely high protection against UVA rays.
What do SPF and PA mean?
SPF means Sun Protection Factor. It is the measurement used to indicate protection efficacy from UVB rays or getting sunburnt. The higher the number, the longer protection.

What are the notable ingredients of this sunscreen?
Zinc Oxide – A mineral filter and skin protectant. Zinc oxide forms a physical barrier and reflects UV radiation.
Houttuynia Cordata Extract – Has strong antibacterial and soothing properties making it an ideal treatment for acne-prone skin. It also can regulate excess sebum production which is beneficial for both acne-prone and oily skin.
Kappaphycus Alvarezii Extract –Extracted from Red Algae, it’s a moisturizing agent and skin barrier strengthening.
Tocopherol – It can naturally be found in our bodies and act as the skin’s natural antioxidant. It’s a protection against free radicals.
Buddleja Extract – This is obtained from the flowers of the butterfly lilac and it can protect the skin from the damaging effects of UV rays and artificial (blue light) light rays.
Pinus Pinaster Bark Extract – Also known as Pycnogenol. This has anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and anticarcinogenic properties to protect skin from external aggressors like fine dust, and smoke.

This sunscreen from Dr. G is a 100% mineral sunscreen which is generally safe for all skin types. However, with the added antibacterial, anti-inflammatory ingredients with sebum production control formula this is highly beneficial to oily and acne-prone skin.
