What do users think about it?

We have spent 7 hours of research to provide you with a holistic view of the Benton PHA Peeling Gel.

Benefits

  • Effective exfoliant – Many users claim that Benton PHA Peeling Gel is effective in melting dead skin cells. PHAs are effective chemical exfoliants. These produce similar effects as AHAs without the irritation. Plus, PHAs have added benefits compared to AHAs like enhanced anti-aging and moisturizing.
  • Brightens the skin – Some users noted that their skin looked more radiant after regular use of this product. Lactobionic acid is a potent antioxidant that helps reduce the appearance of wrinkles. It clears up the skin and reveals a more youthful glow.
  • Non-drying – Users commend this product for not drying their skin. This peeling gel includes various ingredients, all functioning to hydrate the skin and prevent moisture from escaping.
  • Leaves skin soft and smooth – Many reviewers claim that their skin feels soft and smooth after peeling. Being a two-step exfoliator, Benton PHA Peeling Gel works as both physical and chemical exfoliant. It does its job perfectly in physically removing dead skin. Most importantly, it effectively melts dead skin cells and sebum that physical exfoliants left out.
  • Does not irritate – A lot of users who claimed that they have sensitive, reactive skin were amazed that the peeling gel did not cause any irritation. PHAs are third generation chemical exfoliants. They are much gentler than other acids and are safe even for those with sensitive skin.

Things you might not like

  • Takes a while to see notable effects – Some users did not like the product because they do not see dramatic improvements on their skin. PHAs are generally milder than other acids used in skincare. Hence, it takes a while of regular use before you can reap the benefits of the product. If you prefer chemical exfoliants with quicker results, you can try AHAs or BHAs instead. Note that these are more potent acids and might cause irritation.

Recommendation

  • Can be used in other areas (e.g. elbows, heels, knees, ankles, etc.) – This peeling gel is effective even on other areas that are needing some exfoliation.
  • Use moisturizer after – While Benton PHA Peeling Gel have strong humectants, you should still use moisturizers. It is, after all, used as the second step of the Korean skincare routine. Hence, other products that you use thereafter might have differing effects. So, better boost that hydration with a good ol’ moisturizer.
  • Apply SPF on exfoliated areas – Always use SPF when using acids. Since you’ll have a freshly exposed skin layer, it still needs added protection from the harsh sun. Here’s the list of approved Korean sunscreens with valid SPF.
